More than 1,300 hotel rooms are within walking distance of the
Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, which
itself is less than two miles from the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood
International Airport. Both are on the city's south side, minutes
from major interstates and downtown. Tri-Rail, a 67-mile commuter
line, connects three counties and offers free shuttle buses to
the airport.
Surrounding the Convention Center district and the airport are
lodgings that run the gamut from large hotels with every amenity
to smaller, cozy inns and some budget motels. At the high end
of the rate scale, the Hyatt Regency Pier 66, Sheraton Yankee
Clipper and the Lago Mar Resort are among the many full-service
properties near the beach.
Chains such as Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn are liberally sprinkled
throughout the city, with several clustered around the airport.
Seasonal corporate and group discounts are available.
